Job Description
Position Summary:
Leads and develops the Material Team of a large plant and typically more complex supply chain (generally defined by a plant/Material headcount of more than 250 employees and/or plant revenue greater than $70M) in supporting Purchasing, Logistics, Master Scheduling Capacity Planning and Inventory Control to achieve the financial and operating objectives set by the overall organizational business plan. Responsible for developing the Material Team and implementing advanced Supply Chain Strategies. Drives a Lean Culture in a high energy team environment. Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Collaborates with Manufacturing, Project Managers, Engineering, PSI, and Sales as well as other areas in the general Supply Chain including Sourcing to drive Supply Chain performance by improving supplier lead times and reducing component and assembly inventory levels.
