Astec Life Sciences was established in 1994 as a manufacturer of a wide range of agrochemical and pharmaceutical. In 2015, Astec was acquired by Godrej Agrovet Limited
In the last 5 years, Astec has pivoted a CDMO player, and has made an additional Capex investment of $45m to install new R&D and manufacturing facilities. Manufacturing sites are located at Mahad, Maharashtra, covering an area of approx. 35 acres closer to seaports with a dedicated warehouse at the port. R&D Centre and Pilot Plant are located at Rabale, MH equipped with best-in-class infrastructure for new product development, Process optimization & LCM studies. All the manufacturing plants are fully/semi-automated with the DCS system to ensure best practices process monitoring and operations. All our new plants are designed with zero-liquid discharge facilities keeping the utmost environmental standards in place. We specialize in multi-step synthesis undertaking complex chemical reactions from R&D stage to commercial plants.
We follow Dupont’s Process Safety Management (PSM) – 14 Element Approach to ensure operational excellence & Discipline. We are a 3-star export house recognized by Government of India.
Purpose of this position:
- Responsible for the sustainable process development in coordination with R&D & process Safety team.
- Leading team of Process engineer for the process & technology development.
- Coordination with various functions for smooth transfer of Processes.
Who are we looking for?
- Analyzing the observation of Lab trial at R&D and Pilot plant for process optimization & scale up.
- Review & analyze the Mass balance, energy balance for the R&D & pilot plant process.
- Responsible for Preparation of BFD PFD, P&ID & Cause & effect matrix for process.
- Preparation of Standard operation procedure, Operation control Philosophy document for Pilot plant processes.
- Preparation of Technology transfer package for commercial plant.
- Leading team of Technology transfer engineer to develop the process in lab & Pilot plant.
- Analyzing the Process safety data & incorporation of engineering safeguards for process.
- Hands on experience of Simulation Software like- ASPEN, MIXIT, DYNOCHEM, CHEMCAD.
- Preparing the project costing for products based on the inhouse & customer process packages.
- Leading the exploration of new process technology for sustainable process.
- Ensuring the optimization utilization of resources.
Education:
- BTech/ MTech chemical engineering
Experience:
- 10 years and above
Technical Skills:
- Hands on experience of working in Technology transfer & process development department.
- Hands on experience of Process engineering calculations.
- Hands on experience of Simulation Software like- ASPEN, MIXIT, DYNOCHEM, CHEMCAD
