Job Title: Manager QA
Location: Ambasamudram
Role Purpose:
Overseeing all quality-related operations inclusive of S&T, D&F of Ambas site Principal Accountabilities:
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibility Responsible for Health and Safety aspects related to the Quality Assurance (QA) Department inclusive of Spinning & Twisting, Dyeing & Finishing – Ambas plant Ensure effective implementation and monitoring of EMS (Environmental Management System) & OH&S (Occupational Health & Safety) as per standards. QA Operations and Oversight Responsible for all QA operations of S&T and D&F Ambas plant Frame and install the TQM (Total Quality Management Systems) S&T, D&F operations of Ambas Supervise calibration and maintenance of testing instruments in the QA lab. Monitor testing of all finished goods, analyse trends, and initiate corrective/improvement actions. Suggest and assist Manufacturing team for choosing the right type of process machines during modernizing or expansion, new venture creation. Staff Management and Training Identify training needs and provide relevant training for QA personnel. Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of QA team members. Material Inspection and Product Quality To establish Inspection system in consultation with India Quality Head and Global excellence team Authority to withhold/freeze non-conforming materials at receiving, in-process, or final stages of Ambas plant Review of specifications and quality plans for raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products. Certification and Compliance To obtain defined Management system certifications, product certifications for overall Coats Team leader for BRCGS; responsible for: Identifying Critical Control Measures (CCMs) Implementing and monitoring BRCGS and PRPs Serving as Product Recall Coordinator Follow-up authority for the following certifications: IATF IMS Certification OEKO-TEX, UL, GOTS, GRS, BIS certifications Customer Engagement and Complaints Handling Handle customer complaints and initiate corrective and preventive actions. One of the coordinators for customer visits, audits, and self-assessments. Audit lead is assigned to the respective segment head (HR, Environment, Safety). Address global queries and provide reports as required. Systems, Data & Documentation Review/update existing SAP CF and define SAP CF for new materials. Review/update all Quality data as defined by Global QA SOP’s, and as per KPI definition. Update manufacturing details and launch new articles in Infobahn. Coordinate and document Management Review Meetings. Qualification & Experience:
Graduate or Postgraduate in textiles. Minimum years in management / years of textiles shop floor experience in textiles, of which minimum years in QA would be added advantage Exposure to change management processes / Audit & certification experience Exposure to lab testing and inspections Minimum exposure to Garment manufacturing Desirable :
H&S Policy and local SHE and Employment legislation / standards Working understanding of Lean Six Sigma Black belt preferred.
