Manager, SDET

Job Description:

We are looking for Sr. Lead/Manager SDET who is self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies. The individual will work closely with various stakeholders throughout the SDLC, executing automated test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, troubleshooting and

coordinating the bug fixes. The individual should have a strong understanding of agile processes and the related QA lifecycle and automation methodology. Strong Analytical skills are a must have skill for this role.

Responsibilities:

Design, Develop, Execute and analyze automation test scripts & test results.

• Conduct activities that ensure that application / system products and projects meet defined quality standards.

• As subject area expert, provides comprehensive, in-depth consulting and leadership to team and partners at a high technical level

• Carries out activities that are large in scope, cross-functional and technically difficult

• Strategic in developing, implementing and administering programs within functional areas

• Estimate test efforts accurately and coordinate with team members for work activities.

• Apply; design and build automated testing capabilities.

• Involve in product design to guarantee adherence of test coverage for meeting end user requirements.

• Record test results and report and verify software bug fixes to accept automation criteria.

• Senior test Automation Engineer must be able to take on leadership responsibility and influence the direction of automation effort and its schedule and prioritization.

• Co-ordinate with program and development management teams in product development lifecycle to confirm end user product and quality requirements and shipment schedule.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related subject, 12 plus years of experience in QA SDET/ Testing roles

Role Expectations:

• Experience in cloud database stored procedures along with possible outcomes
• Proficiency in SQL Testing, with a strong emphasis on Snowflake
• DB & API Test Automation
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake
• Basic to Intermediate level with the Java/Python Programming for test automation
• Experience on Test automation using Selenium
• Execution of test using Jenkins or any other CICD platform
• Understanding of Data driven, keyword or hybrid test automation frameworks
• Working knowledge of cloud computing architecture
• Hands on experience with GIT, Power BI reporting
• Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools like Airflow
• Experience communicating to both technical and business audiences
• Ability to perform root cause analysis of existing models and propose effective solution
• Experience working with Agile methodologies required
• Ensuring application security through the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Exceptional problem solving / analytical thinking and skills
• Teamwork and collaboration

Required Skills:

• Will be responsible for managing and mentoring the QA Resources but need to frequently use Hands on Tech Skills.

• Knowledge in writing automated scripts using scripting languages like SQL, VB Script, Java

• Experience in designing and building automated testing framework using tools like Cucumber, Selenium, UFT.
• Ability to understand and develop customized testing tool capabilities as needed by Application under test.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in Financial Domain and at least 5 years of experience in Asset Servicing and 3 years of experience in Custody Accounting and/or BackOffice will be preferred
• Strong Analytical skills to understand complex business logic and calculations.
• Experienced in designing automated test scripts and validations for ETL/ELT solutions for multiple parallel processing pipelines.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process in distributed environment.
• Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Excellent communication & Leadership skills.
• Works in parallel with business SMEs and BA staff to create thorough, accurate and comprehensive SQL test queries and scripts
• Update and maintain SQL scripts and test cases as application, business rule changes
• Create appropriate standards and processes to ensure quality and consistency of data in the platform
• Analyze, Organize and validate raw data to ensure accuracy and reliability
• Collaborate with data analytics experts and SMEs to enhance functionality and efficiency with our data ecosystem.
