Job Description

This position serves as the Manager of Safety. The Manager provides leadership and planning for all aspects of department operations and programs for each area of responsibility under environment of care safety, public safety and security, and emergency preparedness to achieve goals and objectives and meet regulatory standards.

The position is responsible for the implementation and administration of policies and programs that promote a safe work environment for all caregivers, patients, and visitors and the environmental safety of the buildings, infrastructure, and equipment in close collaboration with the Plant/Facilities Manager, as well as oversees the Hazardous Materials and Waste program.

Shift Details: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Day shift.

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field., Or equivalent education/experience

  • Upon request: Driving may be necessary as part of this role. Caregivers are required to comply with all state laws and requirements for driving. Caregivers will be expected to provide proof of driver license and auto insurance upon request. See policy for additional information. 

  • 8 years experience in law enforcement, security, or related field, including 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

  • 1 year Extensive computer and systems experience related to department operations, campus security, safety and staffing.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years Healthcare security experience.
