A Regional Sales Manager in the logistics industry plays a crucial role in driving revenue growth and expanding the company's market presence within a designated region. Here's a breakdown of their key responsibilities and required skills:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy and Development: Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets. Identify and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities. Define target segments and develop value propositions. Forecast sales and monitor performance.
  • Business Development: Generate new leads and acquire new customers. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Negotiate and close contracts. Participate in bids and develop pricing proposals.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales representatives. Set sales goals and monitor team performance. Provide training and development opportunities. Recruit and onboard new sales team members.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and present sales reports to senior management. Analyze sales data and identify areas for improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Market Awareness: Keeping up to date with the changes within the logistics industry. Networking within the industry.
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Postgraduate / Graduate from any stream
  • Additional Degree from shipping, logistics, exim course, not necessary MBA but post-graduation in supply chain from any reputed institute of India.
  • Hard Core sales
  • Worked minimum 12 to 15 years in respective region
  • No KAM, No Strategic Account Manager, No Route Development manager profile
  • Should be able to sell across all supply chain orchestration.
  • Worked in all previous assignments for 5 years and more.
  • Had clean business with plug and play
  • Should be able to recover own salary cost after 03 months
  • Should have healthy pipelines
  • Able to sell all supply chain orchestration – Ocean Export, Ocean Import, Air Export, Air Import, CFS, CHB, Contract Logistics, LLP, Trade compliance etc
