Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager, Student Services to lead our Student Services team. This pivotal role ensures exceptional support and engagement for students Dirong through their academic journey, creating a positive student experience, managing compliance requirements, and driving initiatives that enhance student satisfaction and retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of student administration and support services across all campuses.
  • Oversee enrolments, student records, course variations, timetabling, and graduations.
  • Manage student engagement programs including orientation, mentoring, and student wellbeing initiatives.
  • Support at‑risk students through proactive intervention and referral processes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant education and regulatory frameworks (ESOS, National Code, VET and Higher Education standards).
  • Collaborate with academic, compliance, and operational teams to enhance the student experience.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent service and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in education, business administration, management, or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of ESOS Act, National Code, and relevant VET and Higher Education compliance frameworks.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience managing student services or administrative operations in an educational institution.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to build and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong background in student engagement, welfare, or counselling services.
  • Experience overseeing enrolment and records management functions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Experience in both Higher Education and VET environments (desirable).
