Managing Director - Tax Exempt Service

Job Overview: Search Solution Group is seeking a Managing Director - Tax Exempt Service on behalf of our client, a nationally recognized executive compensation consulting firm. This senior leadership role is responsible for advising large, mature, and highly recognizable tax-exempt organizations-both private and public-on executive compensation, compliance, and governance matters. The ideal candidate brings deep industry experience, a strong book of business, and a growth-focused mindset to help expand the firm's market presence. Key Responsibilities: Serve as a trusted advisor to tax-exempt institutions on executive compensation strategy and regulatory compliance. Manage a book of business ideally totaling up to $3 million, while contributing to new business development. Provide expert-level consulting and, when needed, serve as an expert witness. Lead and mentor teams, fostering strong collaboration and professional development. Maintain a high level of client service and build long-term relationships with boards and leadership teams. Stay informed on emerging trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in the tax-exempt compensation space. Requirements include: Education: Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, etc.) preferred. Experience: ~20 years of experience in compensation consulting, specifically focused on tax-exempt clients.
