Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Manual QA Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and usability of web and mobile applications. The role focuses on designing and executing comprehensive manual test scenarios, identifying defects early, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products in an agile environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product requirements and create detailed, well-structured manual test cases.
• Execute functional, regression, sanity, exploratory, and ad-hoc testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent user experience.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira; work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical defects and suggest preventive improvements.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and QA team members throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Share test scenarios, findings, and walkthroughs with stakeholders as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in manual QA testing.
• Minimum 1 year of experience testing e-commerce applications (mandatory).
• Strong experience testing web and mobile applications (iOS and Android).
• Solid understanding of functional, UI, and usability testing practices.
• Hands-on experience in test planning, execution, and defect reporting.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• High ownership mindset with accountability and initiative.

Good-to-Have

• ISTQB, CSTE, or similar QA certifications.
• Experience working in fast-paced, high-transaction environments.
• Exposure to performance, usability, or accessibility testing.
• Ability to document and present test outcomes to non-technical stakeholders.
