About this Role

We are seeking a Manual Testing Specialist to support the testing lifecycle of data pipelines and reporting solutions within the D&A – BIBDA department. The individual will be responsible for preparing test cases, executing test plans, and ensuring quality assurance across various platforms including Data Fusion, Big Query, and Airflow. This role requires strong SQL expertise and experience in Agile environments, with a focus on end-to-end testing and defect management.

What you will do

  • Prepare test cases in collaboration with Business Analysts and Solution Architects.
  • Develop test approach documents aligned with approved test cases.
  • Conduct testing of data pipelines and reports developed by the engineering team.
  • Utilise tools such as Data Fusion, Big Query, Airflow, and Stack Driver for testing activities.
  • Manage defect tracking and ensure thorough documentation of test results.
  • Own the end-to-end testing phase including planning, environment setup, execution, defect logging, and sign-offs.
  • Contribute to process optimisation, tool adoption, and quality enhancement initiatives.
  • Share technical expertise within internal guilds and communities.

    • Who you are

  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Cloud environments.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced in Agile methodologies using tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps.
  • Prior experience in manual testing, quality assurance, and end-to-end test cycles.
  • Holds a degree in / B. Tech, BCA / MCA, BSc, BCom, BA / MSc (Computer Science).
  • Familiar with defect tracking tools and cloud-based testing platforms.
  • Knowledge of the telecom domain and Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer is desirable.
