Manufacturing Engineer Iii

Troubleshoots and resolves more complex issues, develops the sequence of operations, estimates time requirements for each, and prepares operation sheets. Identifies, recommends and implements improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations, equipment utilization, and related matters in order to increase efficiency and cost savings. Designs and programs CNC equipment to utilize to full capacity. May be responsible for completion of engineering projects. Designs new line layouts or re-designs plant layout.
Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain and support manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and speed.
- Identify production and machine requirements to support daily activities and monthly production program.
- Design and install poka-yokes, fixtures and devices specially required to improve the safety, quality and production rate.
