Abbott, a global leading healthcare company, is investing in Mexico. We are building a manufacturing facility in Querétaro. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives. This facility will offer 1,200 local new jobs and will be the first health manufacturing facility in Querétaro, pioneering a healthcare hub.

Main Purpose of Role
The manufacturing engineer is focused on developing and implementing effective and efficient manufacturing processes and methods aligned with quality standards. This position contributes to the commercial objectives of the business by carrying out the installation and validation of assembly lines, the implementation of process documentation, and the acquisition and administration of the equipment and tools necessary for the manufacture of products.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the same role.
- Ability to clearly articulate manufacturing technical concepts in both English and Spanish.
- Experience in basic problem-solving, validations, continuous improvement, and basic statistical analysis.
- Knowledge of methodologies such as DMAIC, PDCA, and 8D (preferred).
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing.
Hiring is expected for February, and pre-hiring processes are starting in January.
