Job Description
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for recommending new machinery and tooling selections, costing, and manufacturing options for new products and changes in existing methods and standards. This role provides knowledgeable assistance in various areas of plant operations and involves decision-making in selecting appropriate manufacturing processes, including tooling, gauging, and workplace layout.
Responsibilities
+ Provide machinery, tooling, material specifications, manufacturing processes, quality inspection documents, and incentive time standards needed for accurate and safe manufacturing of component parts.
+ Collaborate with college co-op students and rotating training personnel when applicable.
+ Offer day-to-day support for the Production department.
+ Reduce costs, increase productivity, reduce scrap/re-work, and provide resources for training and problem-solving.
