Overview

Develops, plans, coordinates and implements manufacturing engineering projects, or several projects of a smaller scale consisting of complex features. Develops, manages, improves processes, manufacturing flows, layouts and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and practices and manufacturing methods (machining, tooling, gauging) in broad areas of assignments.
  • Applies advanced techniques and modifies theories, processes, and/or practices within scope of assignment.
  • Works independently, exercising a good deal of judgment. Receives guidance only on overall objectives and policy matters.
  • Works closely with manufacturing personnel to resolve process problems related to machinery testing and/or gauging. (Spends approximately 50% of time on the shop floor.)
