POSITION SUMMARY
- The Manufacturing Engineer (P3) plays a critical role in driving operational excellence through the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and systems. With 4–8 years of experience, this professional leads cross-functional initiatives, supports strategic planning, and ensures alignment with business goals related to efficiency, quality, and productivity. The role includes leadership responsibilities, project ownership, and mentoring of junior engineers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead efforts to analyze and improve manufacturing processes, focusing on cost reduction, cycle time, quality enhancement, and throughput.
- Develop and implement lean manufacturing initiatives and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and automation solutions to enhance production capabilities.
- Serve as the manufacturing lead for NPI projects, ensuring seamless transition from design to production.
- Collaborate with R&D and design engineering to influence product designs for manufacturability and scalability.
- Develop and validate manufacturing processes for new products, including tooling, equipment, and work instructions.
- Manage complex manufacturing projects, including process transfers, equipment upgrades, and layout changes.
- Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements; ensure timely execution and delivery.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of process documentation, SOPs, and technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality standards, ISO requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Support audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Provide training on new processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Act as a technical resource for troubleshooting and problem-solving across production teams.
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address recurring issues and improve process reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-volume or complex production environment.
- Proven experience in process improvement, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ETC.

- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.

- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits.
- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED
- Travel to different office or plants locations, client sites, or conferences may be necessary.
