Job Title: Manufacturing Estimator
Location: Wallingford, CT
Salary: $DOE
Hours: M-F 8:00 AM -4:30 PM Onsite
Duration: Direct Hire

Estimators are an integral part of the sales and manufacturing staff at the company, and are responsible for supporting the sales team with developing proposals and quotes in a timely manner. This position reports to the Sales Director.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Reviews customer RFQs, drawings, specifications and related documents
  • Works with manufacturing and engineering staff to determine manufacturing steps needed to complete RFQ process
  • Works with manufacturing team to obtain costs for all required manufacturing operations
  • Works with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain costs and delivery for services and materials
  • Develops quote masters and BOMs of the intended manufacturing process
  • Utilizes ERP system and other system to create quote masters and compute cost
  • Creates formal price quotes to be reviewed and sent to the customer
  • Other sales and engineering support, special assignments and projects as needed

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED Required; Technical School or higher technical education preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required.
  • ERP experience preferred.
  • Compliance & Citizenship Requirements
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident Green Card holder (ITAR compliance required)
