Seeking a 3rd shift candidate 10 pm-6 am

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform BASIC preventative maintenance inspection and service on all production and manufacturing equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company guidelines. 
  • Perform BASIC troubleshooting, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment to the desired company's performance standards. 
  • Interface, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic computerized systems and equipment 
  • Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset, assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes. 
  • Comply with all company work and safety rules, regulatory compliance rules, and regulations. 
  • Use all personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA regulations. 
  • Possess the necessary personal tools to perform duties. 
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. 
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year related experience and/or training in manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair; or equivalent combination of continued education and experience. 

Other Functions: 
  • Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required. 
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required. 
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with a full range of body motion.  
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. 
  • Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills and a systematic approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving are required. 

Preferred but not required: 
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays). 
  • Experience with conveyors (air cylinders, diverters, sensors, motor/speed controls). 
  • Experience with electrical systems (installation, frequency drive, troubleshooting).
  • Experience with electronics (e.g., level probes, flow meters, drives/VFDs, etc.). 
  • Experience with gearing and gearboxes (rebuilds, ordering parts, machining parts). 
  • Experience with hydraulic systems (high-pressure cylinders, pumps, valves, troubleshooting). 
  • Experience with kinematics (e.g., line speed/sprocket size ratios, etc.). 
  • Review rating instructions. 
  • Experience with packaging/high-speed production (e.g., bottling, consumer products, etc.). 
  • Experience with pneumatics (solenoids, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting). 
  • Experience with pneumatics/air compression (e.g., valves, cylinders, etc.). 
  • Experience with preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data). 
  • Experience with pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs). 
 
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: 
  • PLC, HVAC, Ammonia, Refrigeration, or other specialty certifications preferred but not required. 
Working Conditions: 
  • Must be able to work in hot and cold climates, both indoors and outdoors. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend.  
  • Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; and occasionally 75 pounds. 
  • Must be able to work for extended periods in a cold, damp environment.
