Job Description Job Description POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing Process Engineer DEPARTMENT: Engineering ACCOUNTABILITY: Engineering Manager JOB SUMMARY Performs basic professional manufacturing engineering and production assignments in support and under the direction of senior engineers and Management. MANUFACTURING RESPONSIBILITIES Sets up, and programs CNC Lathes and Mills. Including but not limited to the following: Changing of chucks, tool bar changes and touch offs, cutting jaws on lathe, indicating in tailstocks, checking for backlash, indicating in drills in lathe turrets, indicating and Picking up work offsets, creating new and editing CNC programs. Experience with Cylindrical grinders, Broaches and Rack Rolling processes preferred, but not required. High-level trouble shooting and problem-solving skills related to tool breakage, chatter, surface finish, runout issues, scrap, Work-Holding, etc. Understanding of best practices for both machining and work holding techniques.
