This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and manufacturing operations, with a strong emphasis on systems that support production execution, visibility, quality, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience developing internal tools in a production setting and understands how software reliability directly impacts manufacturing throughput and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain internal software tools and platforms that support manufacturing and production operations
  • Build scalable infrastructure and backend services to support growing production volumes and complexity
  • Integrate software systems with manufacturing equipment, databases, and enterprise systems (e.g., MES, test systems, traceability, analytics)
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and database integrations to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable production data
  • Partner closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, and IT to translate operational needs into robust software solutions
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and rapid issue detection in production environments
  • Apply Phi/UX best practices to ensure internal tools are intuitive, efficient, and aligned with operator and engineer workflows
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by enabling better data visibility, automation, and system resilience
  • Contribute to software best practices including code quality, documentation, testing, and deployment standards
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • 5–7 years of professional experience building software tools or infrastructure, ideally in manufacturing or production environments
  • Proven experience working with TypeScript, React, Python and developing scalable, high performance data driven web applications.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting manufacturing, production, or operations-focused systems
  • Strong experience with database design, integration, and data-driven applications
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud‑based infrastructure
  • Experience using Datadog (or similar observability platforms) for onderzoeken, logging, and performance tracking
  • Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, including version control, CI/CD, and system reliability
  • Working knowledge of UI/UX design principles for internal or operational tools
  • Fluent slaan both English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building or supporting internal manufacturing systems such as MES, test infrastructure, traceability platforms, or analytics tools
  • Familiarity with production data flows, factory automation, or equipment integration
