Marine Cargo Underwriter

Overview

To assist in the daily Marine Cargo and Hull Underwriting operations. However, Cargo would the priority. To perform quarterly portfolio analysis and conclude the next course of action is necessary.

Responsibilities

1. Underwrite all marine classes within authority limit.
2. Issue all marine policies and endorsements including policies from branches.
3. Analyse marine results via monthly reporting.
4. Assist in reviewing exception reports to ensure branches follow underwriting guidelines.
5. Provide customer and branch response in relation to Marine Underwriting guidelines.
6. Review Renewals with claims experience.
7. Train staff and agents on different liability classes e.g. Marine Cargo, Hull & Goods-in-Transit.
8. Assist the other Underwriting Units whenever required.
9. Assist the Head of Department (HOD) in carrying out ad-hoc projects.
