PURSUE A CAREER IN MARINE 

The Marine department of COWI, India is undertaking projects from both international and domestic markets and offers a comprehensive range of consulting services. Hence, we are always on the lookout for Design Engineers- Structural/Coastal/Geotechnical, Digital Specialists and BIM Modellers/Specialists who can contribute to our exciting journey. 

COWI Marine department is supporting their clients to draw a detailed picture of any consequences on the built and natural environment arising from the development/installation of any port, marine, or coastal project. You will become part of COWI's Marine department in Chennai, India covering the disciplines of structural, coastal, geotechnical engineering and BIM. In this position, you will have the opportunity to co-create on multi-disciplinary marine infrastructure and climate adaptation projects for COWI.

Some of the core competencies of the department are as follows:

  • Port Planning
  • Met-Ocean studies including Hydrodynamic Modelling and Navigation simulations
  • Coastal structures including breakwaters, groynes and revetments
  • Geotechnical engineering including advanced numerical modelling for marine and bridge foundations
  • Dredging, Reclamation & Ground Improvement, Earth retention structures, Jetties and Berthing Structures, Intake and Outfall structures
  • Underground pump stations
  • Rehabilitation of marine structures
  • 3D BIM modelling using Tekla and CIVIL 3D
  • Digital and Parametric design of Marine structures
