BMT\'s Defence and Security team is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from highly skilled and experienced defence maritime engineering and engineering management professionals to join our team in Perth and support our Maritime Sustainment programs in 2025 and 2026. Your work at BMT will have a direct impact on national defence and security.

Key Responsibilities

• In this role, you will deliver innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions for maritime sustainment. Supporting our programs in various engineering disciplines, including but not limited to:
• Maritime Engineering Management: Engineering Managers are the technical authority for our programs. Responsible for ensuring engineering governance, safety, certification, and technical assurance of sustainment activities across the specified project fleet.
• Maritime Engineers: Experience in naval architecture, ship systems integration, or marine engineering; vessel design, performance analysis, or structural engineering will be advantageous.
• Electrical Engineers: Proficiency in electrical systems design, power distribution, or control systems; knowledge of marine electrical systems including navigation, communication, and propulsion is desirable.
• Mechanical Engineers: Expertise in mechanical systems such as engines, pumps, and HVAC; experience in marine mechanical systems or structural analysis is valued.
• Systems Engineers: Understanding of complex systems engineering processes; proficiency in requirements analysis, system integration, and verification/validation is essential.
• Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialists: Expertise in ILS principles including reliability-centered maintenance, supply chain management, and life cycle support; defense or maritime industry ILS experience is desirable.

About You

• Proven experience as a defence engineering professional, ideally within the maritime sector.
• A strong background in one of the engineering disciplines listed above.
• The ability to contribute to delivering innovative, safe, and sustainable solutions.
• The ability to hold and maintain an active Australian Baseline Defence Security Clearance or above.
