Job PurposeProvide strategic and operational leadership for the Pain, Cardiometabolic (Cardio, Vascular, Metabolic) and High Specialties therapeutic areas by defining and executing end‑to‑end marketing strategies that accelerate P2G performance, maximize product and portfolio value, and support the achievement of commercial objectives in Mexico. Partner closely with Commercial, Trade Marketing, Medical, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, and senior leadership to drive sustainable growth and deliver the sales targets defined in the AOP and the LRP.
Job OverviewThis role has full strategic and operational responsibility for the assigned therapeutic areas, including P&L ownership, brand equity development, launch excellence, and the design and execution of marketing and commercial strategies that support both sell‑in and sell‑out performance. The Marketing Director will lead a multifunctional team (Product Management, Design Hub, Sales Force Training) and act as the reference point for all matters related to Pain, High Specialties and Cardiometabolic TAs. This includes building a mid‑to long‑term growth strategy, executing the launch roadmap, participating in pipeline selection, and partnering with cross‑functional leaders to ensure competitive positioning, customer relevance, and commercial impact.
Key Responsibilities Activities Dedicated to External Stakeholders- Obtain firsthand market insights through regular interactions with HCPs, pharmacy decision‑makers, and other relevant healthcare stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with targeted external experts and professional societies.
- Organize scientific and commercial educational activities aligned with TA strategy, including congresses, summits, and CME initiatives.
- Leverage insights from the field to inform strategy, refine messaging, and accelerate market adoption.
- Build engagement platforms that strengthen brand relevance and corporate reputation.
- Lead presence at major industry events to support brand awareness and pipeline readiness.
- Serve as the internal expert for Pain, High Specialties and Cardiometabolic TAs, providing market intelligence and competitive insights.
- Lead Brand Planning, QBRs, and strategic forums with a data‑driven approach (PMM, ATV, Veeva, CUP, etc.).
- Develop integrated communication plans with Medical, Digital, Compliance, and other internal teams.
- Drive portfolio lifecycle management, pipeline readiness, and long‑term TA strategy.
- Lead the commercial planning process (AOP / LRP 2029), defining smart investments and resource allocation to deliver SI/SO growth.
- Oversee Sales Force Training content and capability building to ensure high‑impact execution in field.
- Ensure timely, high‑quality execution of product launches, materials, events, and commercial activities.
- Promote a collaborative “live the business” culture, ensuring KPIs, insights, and priorities are shared and understood.
- Ensure complete adherence to compliance, ethical standards, and medical/legal frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Communication, or Health Sciences.
- Master’s in Marketing, Business Administration (MBA), or equivalent.
- 7+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
- 4+ years in Marketing roles (Rx segment required).
- Experience leading teams and managing cross‑functional projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience in Pain, High Specialties, Cardio and Metabolic areas, Generics / Branded Generics is a must.
- English advanced.
