Marketing Manager, APAC-focused

What you’ll do:

  • Gain oversight of developing, architecting, and implementing a marketing strategy for Horizontal Talent India and Malaysia.
  • Previous staffing industry experience is strongly preferred to help us create and implement industry-leading marketing strategies.
  • Elevate brand marketing strategies and go-to-market programs that improve performance, increase market share and drive revenue for all Horizontal Talent’s markets.
  • Identify and leverage the Horizontal Talent’s key differentiators in all positioning for campaign strategy.
  • Oversee Horizontal Talent’s marketing budget for India and Malaysia.
  • Build a deep understanding of audience segment needs and objectives.
  • Develop and optimize the company's digital marketing strategies and safeguard the company's digital presence, including digital advertising, sales materials, and lead demand generation campaigns.
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of an advertising agency partner and manage the allocation and distribution of paid ads through different channels.
  • Utilize, understand and implement HubSpot to create landing pages, email templates and nurturing campaigns to help drive new business for India and Malaysia.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of trends and regulatory changes that affect that staffing industry and the industries/areas of expertise that Horizontal Talent serves.
  • Work with Global Director of Content Strategy for content and writing needs externally to our audiences.
  • Serve as main point of contact between the marketing team and senior market sales leaders.
  • Set priorities and manage requests based on resources and capacity.
  • Oversee and manage sponsorships/events for our customers and business.
  • Measure, analyze and report on program ROI, as well as competitive activity, developing key learnings and best practices to maximize invested resources and efforts. Present in a quarterly business review.
  • Produce customer-centric videos and photos to utilize across all omni-channels.
  • Assist with SOW process, content, and written responses.
  • Represent Horizontal Talent at marketing events and attend conferences, tradeshows, and speaking engagements.
  • Bi-weekly meetings with U.S. Sr Marketing Manager and Sr. Director of Global Marketing to develop creative strategies globally and prioritize global marketing projects.

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience within the staffing and recruiting industry (preferred) with at least 8 years of marketing and/or digital marketing leadership experience.
  • Previous experience with HubSpot for creation of campaigns.
  • Previous experience working with a sales team in an enterprise world.
  • People/team management experience required.

Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager – APAC , based in India. The ideal candidate should have experience driving large-scale marketing initiatives, preferably within the staffing, talent solutions, or professional services industry . The individual must understand the IT Services and staffing ecosystem, GCC market trends, and enterprise buyer expectations to build Horizontal’s brand, support revenue growth, and accelerate new logo acquisition across the region.


Key Responsibilities

1. Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Strengthen Horizontal’s brand presence across APAC, with focus on India, Australia, and Malaysia.
  • Develop and execute localized brand campaigns aligned with global brand guidelines.
  • Enhance digital and offline visibility among enterprise clients, hiring leaders, and candidates.

2. Demand Generation & Revenue Alignment

  • Build and execute marketing programs that support sales pipeline creation and account expansion.
  • Support new logo acquisition through tailored campaigns, thought leadership, and client-facing content.

3. Content Development & Thought Leadership

  • Create impactful content including case studies, capability decks, client presentations, newsletters, videos, and APAC-specific collateral.
  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of events—executive roundtables, webinars, tech talks, and brand activations.
  • Build APAC-focused thought leadership around topics such as IT staffing trends, GCC growth, niche skill availability, and digital talent solutions.

4. Talent & Candidate Marketing

  • Design marketing campaigns to attract high-quality IT and engineering talent across APAC.
  • Improve brand perception among niche-skilled candidates through relevant positioning and digital presence.


5. APAC Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Global Marketing, Sales, Delivery, Technology, and Leadership teams to ensure regional alignment.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and positioning across all APAC markets.
  • Drive structured communication and reporting for leadership visibility.

6. Analytics & Performance Reporting

  • Track campaign performance, lead generation effectiveness, event ROI, and revenue influence.
  • Build dashboards and monthly performance summaries for APAC leadership and Global Marketing.
  • Use data insights to refine strategies and improve marketing outcomes.


Skills & Experience Requirements

  • 8–15 years of marketing experience, ideally within IT staffing, technology services, or professional services organization .
  • Strong understanding of APAC talent markets, especially India’s GCC landscape.
  • Proven ability to support sales-driven organizations with measurable business impact.
  • Hands-on experience with brand building, events, content creation, digital marketing, and demand generation.
  • Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with global teams and adapt to diverse business needs.
