MASS PROPERTIES ENGINEER – Airbus Defence & Space – Getafe, Spain
Vacancy for a MASS PROPERTIES ENGINEER has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe. The successful applicant will join the Flight Physics Department.
Responsibilities
- Be the reference in Airbus for aircraft Mass Properties throughout the life of the programme – accountable for the status and outlook weight data for the complete aircraft.
- Define, implement and monitor the weight management standards for Airbus and the extended enterprise.
- Contribute to the aircraft optimisation process, providing overall aircraft, component and detailed mass properties.
- Enable Airbus to set appropriate weight targets and negotiate with Airlines on aircraft weight guarantees.
- Contribute to development of new vehicles (incl. derivatives), operational support of in-service vehicles and decommissioning.
- Define mass status, target mass and route to target.
