**Amentum, a global leader in advanced engineering, technical, and professional services serving the US government, allies and critical infrastructure sectors, is seeking a Material Control Specialist** **to support unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia.**
The **Materials Control Specialist** is responsible for stock control, inventory management, material sorting /identification/retrograde, and warehousing in support of assigned program.
**Principal Accountabilities**
_(Typical duties include the following, although specific duties vary by assignment or contract.)_
+ Coordinate materials for retrograde, issue, repackaging, storage, disposal, or shipment to designated locations
+ Remove materials from inventory and prepare for shipment to include proper blocking, bracing, crating, and packing inside shipping containers and on pallets for truck and/or air movement
+ Identify materials by proper military class of supply
