Job Description
Role SummaryThe Material Manager ensures all R-EGI program materials, hardware, components, and government-furnished equipment (GFE) are properly planned, tracked, staged, and available to support engineering, integration, test, and build activities.
This role owns material visibility and readiness and serves as the central coordination point for material status across Engineering, Execution Leads, Integration and Test Execution Leads, and Business Ops.
Primary Responsibilities 1.
Material Planning & Requirements Alignment Maintain the program's material requirements list derived from engineering BOMs, build plans, platform needs, and integration/test schedules.
Align material readiness with Tier-0, Tier-1, and Tier-2 schedules, including PRU/FEU builds, engineering releases, platform studies, and integration/test activities.
Identify long-lead or limited-quantity items early so Subcontracts/Supply Chain can take appropriate action.
