**Job Summary**
The Material Planner / Buyer is responsible for managing procurement of materials and products necessary for the companys operations. This role involves planning to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience in inventory management and supplier negotiation. Develop and execute purchasing strategies to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure on-time delivery of materials.
**Responsibilities**
1. Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels to support businesses through strategic planning and daily MRP review
2. Lead SIOP meetings and to meet company goals in terms of Inventory holding, Turns and On-Time shipment & lead SIOP sections
3. Process and manage purchasing orders to meet delivery requests
4. Owns the item and supplier data attributes in system
