Material Planner

Overview

Material Planner ensure timely and efficient supply of materials for production by coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and analyzing demand forecasts. This role involves optimizing material flow to support production schedules and minimize costs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and production teams to meet material requirements.
• Manage inventory levels to optimize material flow and minimize costs.
• Analyze demand forecasts and material data; prepare reports for senior management.
• Lead a team of material planners and analysts.
• Develop strategies to ensure timely availability of materials; utilize tools such as MRP systems, just-in-time (JIT) and Kanban where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRP systems; familiarity with JIT and Kanban principles.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to meet material requirements.
