Material Planner

Job Summary: The Material Planner is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, components, and packaging required for production are available on time, in the correct quantity and quality, while optimizing inventory levels and minimizing waste. This role involves forecasting, planning, calculating raw material requirements, coordinating with suppliers, and working closely with the production and warehouse teams to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review production schedules, sales forecasts, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to determine raw material requirements.
• Calculate the quantity of raw materials, components, and packaging needed, considering inventory on hand, lead times, wastage, and safety stock levels.
• Monitor and maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid stockouts or overstock situations.
