Wood is currently recruiting for a Materials Controller to join our Operations business in Australia & Asia Pacific West (APAC WEST) based in Darwin. This role is a short-term commitment role and is available on full-time basis, commencing now until September 2026 with a potential for extension.

You must have full work rights to work in this Australian location.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience in materials / logistics within the Oil & Gas industry. You will also have:

  • Knowledge of Dangerous Goods legislation 
  • Physically fit for manual handling exposure
  • Varied and detailed work experience in the industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles 
  • Previous experience with ERP systems (. ERM, Oracle, SAP)
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and coordinate & prioritise activities accordingly
  • Be commercially astute with a “solutions mindset”, sound management of risk, consistent with safety and commercial requirements
  • Be customer-focused with an ability to develop trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders while balancing operational excellence to contribute to the competitive advantage of #teamwood
  • What will set you apart is your demonstrated experience in materials handling / logistics (including manual use of equipment) and best practice knowledge of warehousing of O&G materials as per industry & client standards.
