Materials Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement materials management strategies to support production and supply chain goals.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to optimize material usage.
• Analyze material usage trends and forecast future requirements.
• Identify and resolve material shortages, excesses, and obsolescence.
• Support ERP/MRP system configuration and data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material handling and storage processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of Experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
• Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, or other inventory management methodologies.
• Knowledge of sustainability practices in materials management
