Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement materials management strategies to support production and supply chain goals.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to optimize material usage.
- Analyze material usage trends and forecast future requirements.
- Identify and resolve material shortages, excesses, and obsolescence.
- Support ERP/MRP system configuration and data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in material handling and storage processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 5+ years of Experience in materials management, inventory control, or supply chain engineering.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT), Kanban, or other inventory management methodologies.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in materials management
