Materials Engineering Specialist

Roles & Responsibilities:

 Support development of a fixed-wing UAV with minimized Radar Cross Section (RCS).

 Design and execute material characterization plans for composite, metallic, and coating

systems.

 Evaluate materials, coatings, and structures to reduce electromagnetic observability while

meeting structural performance requirements.

 Lead material selection, characterization, and testing for composites, polymers, adhesives,

and metallic systems.

 Develop test protocols, interpret results, and provide recommendations based on

mechanical, environmental, and electromagnetic testing.

 Maintain materials databases, oversee coupon and sub-component fabrication, and define

qualification standards.

 Direct manufacturing of test coupons and oversee sample preparation in accordance with

industry standards.
