Materials Handler Inspector

Summary You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER INSPECTOR in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DIVISION of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH. Responsibilities You will assure the quality and safety of ordnance material and operations. You will perform receipt and issue inspection of ordnance items and certify them as ready for issue. You will obtain and maintain inspection and quality certifications. You will construct, place, sheath and install wooden blocks, wedges, bracing structures, partition bulkheads, deck boxes and other staying devices. You will determine the detail locations within storage facilities and assure proper stowage of cargo within vessels per load plan. You will offload and onload ordnance materials from trucks, rail cars, vessels and other conveyances using forklifts, manual and mechanized pallet jacks, side loaders and stacker cranes.
