Overview

Purpose Statement: The Manager - Purchasing is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Purchasing team. This role will represent the Tactical Purchasing Organization in supplier and/or customer interactions, and drive operational improvement through the implementation of best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and manage the purchasing team leads to ensure optimum effectiveness while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude. This includes monitoring workload distribution among team members and allocating tasks appropriately.
  • Responsible for ensuring the purchasing of materials is in adherence to Plexus policy.
  • Accountable for the teams performance in regards to purchasing execution metrics (Including but not limited to: OPH, Past Due, Unconfirmed)
