MBS Associate

Our client, a prominent alternatives firm in Midtown, Manhattan is looking for a candidate with MBS experience to join their team.


The ideal candidate will have 3-7 yrs. of financial services experience with strong technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with the Trading Desk to manage the firm’s liquidity requirements

  • Provide support for the entire lifecycle all products traded including MBS, Treasuries derivatives, repos, etc.
  • Forecast daily cash positions and provide funding projections to business lines and senior management

  • Identify and resolve breaks, reconciling the firm’s positions across custodians and internal systems

  • Manage the firm’s daily exposure across product types, review and respond to margin calls
  • Assist with the clearing and settlement of Mortgage-Backed Securities and other asset classes
