Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Level 4, Senior Specialist Systems Engineer - Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to join the Resilient Missile Warning and Missile Tracking (RMWT) Platform Systems Engineering Integration Test (SEIT) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This role involves supporting the engineering activities related to the installation, delivery, and operations of the reference model for the Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program. The MBSE Engineer will play a critical role in maintaining and deliver program documents for each milestone via the engineering model during the development and test phases of a new satellite ground operations center.

In this position, you will bring your systems engineering background to a system engineering role where you can make a broad impact to programs and projects that are critical to our customers!

Essential Functions:

Deliver regular demonstrations within the model to internal team and customer

Oversee the development and delivery of program milestones using the MBSE approach, ensuring that all deliverables meet technical specifications and project requirements.

Conduct detailed analysis and simulations using the engineering model to identify potential issues and optimize system performance.

Works closely with the customer to comprehensively design and implement new system functionality. Writes requirements, supports development, performs integration testing of new or modified.

Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system models, design specifications, and test protocols.

Will interface with other Systems Engineers, Agile Development Engineering, Product Development and Project Engineering to understand new baseline functionality.

Support the implementation and maintenance of the MBSE approach for the GMI program, ensuring that the engineering model accurately represents the system architecture and requirements.

Collaborate with systems engineers, software developers, and project managers to integrate and validate the engineering model throughout the development and test phases.

Ability to travel up to 10%

Qualifications:

May have broad knowledge of project management.

Bachelors Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Proficiency in MBSE tools and methodologies, such as SysML and UML, and experience with tools such as MagicDraw, Cameo System Modeler, or similar.

Strong background in systems integration and test within complex projects, preferably in satellite ground operations or related fields.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder relationships.

Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors

Ability to negotiate solutions among functional groups (Systems Engineering, Mission Engineering, Software Engineering, etc.)

Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills demonstrated by related work experience

Strong coordination and organization skills with a focus on details

Organized and detail-oriented
