Title / Designation: MDG Technical Developer Location: Bangalore Experience: 10+ years Work mode: Hybrid (2 days WFO) Role & responsibilities:
Design, develop, and enhance SAP MDG solutions with high-quality, scalable, and reliable code. Translate functional/business requirements into efficient technical implementations. Build prototypes and technical solutions that align with MDG architecture and standards. Ensure strong code quality, proper documentation, and adherence to development, security, and compliance guidelines. Support MDG implementations, including UAT, go-live, and post-deployment stabilization. Drive automation and innovation within development processes. Collaborate effectively with functional teams, architects, and consulting partners. Communicate clearly in English across all forms (verbal, written, and reading). Manage deliverables, status reporting, and team coordination. Work independently while also contributing effectively in team environments. Apply strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to resolve issues. Candidate requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field. 7+ years of technical experience, including 5+ years of hands-on development in SAP MDG and S/4HANA. Strong expertise in OO ABAP, MDG Workflows, BRF+, CDS Views, OData services, Fiori apps/elements, and S/4HANA extensions (Classic, In-App, Side-by-Side). Hands-on experience with CAP/RAP, MDG Data Replication Framework, and ERP integrations using BAPI, RFC, IDoc, PI Proxies, WSDL, REST/JSON APIs. Solid knowledge of ABAP 7.x standards, ABAP Development Tools, and RICEF development on HANA. Experience with CDS frameworks, UI5 annotations, XML/JSON debugging, and SAP BTP environments. Practical exposure to BADIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Spots, and custom MDG object development. Experience supporting full MDG implementation cycles including UAT and cutover/go-live activities. Hands-on use of BRF+, BAS, SAP HANA Studio (Eclipse), and Git for development tasks. Familiarity with Solution Manager, JIRA, CI/CD practices, AIF, and Flexible Workflows. SAP certifications (nice to have). Selection Process:
