POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: MAINTENANCE MECHANIC
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
1. GROUP: SMURFIT WESTROCK
2. DEPARTMENT: MAINTENANCE
3. IMMEDIATE SUPERVISORu2019S TITLE: MAINTENANCE MANAGER
I) BASIC FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for working as a team member ensuring equipment within the plant is regularly serviced and operating smoothly at all times. Maintain continuous contact with the operators of each machine.
II) SCOPE OF POSITION:
Position functions under the guidance of the Maintenance Mechanic Lead Hand but reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. To assist the Maintenance Mechanic Lead Hand in projects as required. Position requirements include a good understanding of all the equipment in the maintenance shop, and good problem-solving skills.
III) HEALTH AND SAFETY
* Responsible for working in compliance with the provisions of the companyu2019s health and safety regulations.
