Job Description
We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to help deliver robust, manufacturable products for Nyobolt's growing customer base. This role sits at the intersection of mechanical, electrical and battery system design.
What you'll do
Design mechanical components and assemblies for electrically integrated products, including battery systems
Use top-down 3D CAD modelling (Onshape experience is a bonus)
Develop low-cost, high-volume components using DfM best practices (sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, weldments, etc.)
Define technical requirements, specifications and project timescales in collaboration with customers and internal teams
Apply engineering analysis (tolerance stacks, thermal, structural CAE) to guide and validate designs
Produce detail drawings for prototype and volume production, owning cost, mass, BOMs and material selection
Lead mechanical design release, FMEA and validation activities
Support prototype builds, production ramp-up and cont...
