Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a specialist design and manufacturing company to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Mansfield-based facility.

Duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer include:

  • Detailed design of new products from the concept stage through to production
  • Conceptual design, assembly / sub-assembly and detailed drawings, calculations where necessary, generation of Design File, BOM’s.
  • Redevelopment of existing products in order to enhance the design, cut costs and consider ease of manufacture
  • Appreciation of methods of manufacture 
  • Appreciation of different material properties and basic engineering processes
  • Project management from concept to production.
  • Implementation of field trials.
  • Testing of prototypes.
  • Liaison with customers, engineers and shop floor staff
