Job Description

A business that generate truly unique products are looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer on a contract basis (outside of IR35) to design a bespoke test rig (special purpose machinery / special purpose equipment design)? If you enjoy working on blank sheet of paper design and solving clients’ problems through liaising with them then this may be the role for you.

The rate for this role will be dependent on experience. This role will be largely remote after the initial site visit to take down the machinery requirements and view similar/existing equipment to build you knowledge and understanding of key requirements. 

As a Mechanical Design Engineer some of the key responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting the duties of Technical Lead/Design Authority on assigned projects.
