Mechanical Designer 2 - Consumer Electronics

Overview We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Designer 2 at Garmin’s U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and driving mechanical solutions by providing advanced CAD modeling and drafting support, documentation, testing, and other technical support within a team-oriented environment. This team supports the design of all consumer electronics manufactured by Garmin - from wearables to handhelds and products within the Outdoor, Marine and Fitness space. Essential Functions Support completion of moderately complex mechanical designs for Garmin products Simultaneously complete basic mechanical design projects with some Mechanical Engineering guidance Drive completion of derivative projects with minimal guidance from Mechanical Engineer Expert CAD user able to model complex parts with advanced modeling features Fully support activities of components sourcing Attend design reviews and can provide suggestions on mechanical engi...
