Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join the project team for the startup of a new manufacturing plant in Monterrey. The MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) Engineer will report to the Project Manager and has the primary responsibility of managing the electromechanical execution of this greenfield project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and instrumentation systems.
  • Coordinate equipment supply and manage MEP contracts.
  • Collaborate with contractors and engineers to integrate MEP systems into plant design.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes.
  • Manage timelines, budgets, and project quality from design through commissioning.
  • Ensure ongoing system maintenance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Lead final project commissioning and start-up, ensuring safety and quality standards.
  • Manage contractors and design consultants to maintain safety, compliance, and project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5-year degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred).
  • 4+ years of experience in construction, design, and operations management.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Experience in FMCG or chemical industries preferred.
  • Proficient in project management tools (Gantt Charts, Microsoft Project).
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical design standards.
