Job Purpose
Responsible for leading industrial projects and driving performance improvements across production, utility, and facility systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Responsible for identifying and implementing technical solutions that enhance system reliability, operational efficiency, and resource optimization.
Responsible for supporting the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, while ensuring full compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory standards.
Perform duties in accordance with Malia Group policies and procedures.
Duties And Responsibilities
On Project Ownership & Implementation
Lead industrial projects related to equipment installation, facility upgrades, system modifications, or utility improvements across production and support areas Oversee the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and qualification, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with GMP standards Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for mechanical enhancements, ensuring alignment with pharmaceutical and EHS regulations Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure the technical quality and timely execution of external works Ensure smooth integration of new or modified equipment into existing production lines
On Strategic Optimization & Productivity Enhancement
Analyze equipment performance, production bottlenecks, and downtime trends to identify root causes and implement mechanical solutions that enhance throughput and reduce inefficiencies Recommend and implement modifications that improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize operational parameters such as line speed, utility consumption, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Develop and support preventive and predictive maintenance programs aimed at maximizing equipment reliability and lifespan Contribute to digitalization and automation efforts within the mechanical scope, supporting innovation and long-term productivity improvements
On Technical Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
Act as a technical reference for the maintenance team, providing guidance and support in executing complex mechanical interventions Collaborate with production, quality, and EHS teams to plan and implement interventions with minimal operational impact Lead the planning and execution of industrial interventions during shutdowns or major upgrades Facilitate knowledge transfer, training, and upskilling of technicians on new systems, procedures, or best practices
On Compliance, Documentation & Engineering Standards
Maintain and update technical documentation including SOPs, equipment manuals, engineering drawings, and modification logs Ensure all industrial activities are executed in compliance with pharmaceutical standards (GMP, GDP), safety protocols, and internal procedures Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and technical clarifications related to mechanical systems Assist the Maintenance Manager in promoting engineering excellence, standardization, and adherence to best practices across operations
Education
BE in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in an industrial field
