Mechanical Engineer (HVAC)

AMEK ENGINEERING Pty Ltd is seeking a HVAC Mechanical Engineer to join our busy team located in the Belmont area.

Qualification and experience:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering Tradesperson
• Qualifications suitable for membership of Engineers Australia
• At least one year of Mechanical Engineering experience in Australia
• Strong understanding of HVAC Systems & Designs
• HVAC qualifications (or country equivalent) are essential

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement HVAC systems for a variety of building types
• Produce technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for HVAC systems
• Oversee HVAC projects from concept through to installation and commissioning.
• Prepare and review technical reports, manuals, and compliance documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC system performance issues
• Ensure all HVAC designs and installations comply with Australian standards

Core competencies

• Strong understanding of mechanical system principles, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• Ability to perform detailed calculations, simulations, and system optimizations
• Proficient with HVAC design software (such as AutoCAD & Revit)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
