BAE Systems is seeking a senior Mechanical Engineer to support our work as a prime contractor on high-profile U.S Navy weapon systems. This mechanical engineering position will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases, primarily at Kings Bay, Georgia and Bangor, Washington. This engineering candidate is responsible for the development of conceptual HVAC and plumbing designs, Bill of Materials for mechanical equipment, and conceptual mechanical spaces layout. The selected candidate will perform technical peer reviews of architectural/engineering design submittals, lead the develop of unique SSP facility requirements & testing criteria, and perform constructability reviews of A/E produced design documentation. Candidate will also provide input and assist in the development of engineering study reports and help coordinate and resolve facility design/integration issues.
