Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Job Description
We are urgently seeking Engineers of all levels of experience who are passionate about Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) and have a strong work ethic to join a dynamic team of professionals. You will contribute to MEP and Fire Protection design projects within various industries, including schools, healthcare, business, and retail.
Responsibilities

+ Design Mechanical MEP systems for regional projects in schools, healthcare, business, and retail industries.

+ Utilize AutoCAD and collaborate with CAD operators to ensure precision in designs and timely completion.

+ Manage projects and work with other engineers or designers on small and medium-sized projects.

+ Perform engineering designs on large and/or complex projects under the direction of a principal, including interfacing with other personnel.

+ Understand and apply NEC (National Electrical Code) and building codes, standards, and building structures.

+ Perform design functions as a team member on medium and large projects under the direct supervision of a PM/Principal.

+ Handle permits, proposals, RFI's, electrical load calculations, size wiring, construction documents, and engineering reports.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

+ Experience in MEP design projects.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.

+ Excellent communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ EIT or P.E. certification (not required).

+ Experience with commercial and large-scale projects (e.g., schools, hospitals, VA facilities).

+ Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

+ Familiarity with commercial building systems and designs.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.86/hr.
