Mechanical Design & Project Manager – Data Centre & Life Sciences Facilities
Responsibilities
Responsibilites
• Lead and manage mechanical design projects for Data Centre and Life Science
facilities, from preliminary and basic design phases through to executive design and
construction documentation.
• Provide expert technical advice to clients during the initial project phase, supporting
feasibility studies and design strategies.
• Capture and manage client requirements, coordinating and integrating needs with
multidisciplinary teams.
• Define conceptual design criteria for mechanical installations, including pre
dimensioning, calculations, and preparation of detailed technical documentation for
HVAC, PCI, plumbing, sanitation, industrial gases, and other building services.
• Oversee on-site activities, supporting Construction Management in document control,
quality assurance, site supervision, and commissioning of mechanical installations.
• Collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure designs are executed according to
specifications, standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify opportunities for design optimization, energy efficiency, and technical
innovation in mechanical systems.
Requirements
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (mechanical specialization),
or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, calculation, and
execution of building services installations (HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, sanitation,
gases, and other mechanical systems), ideally in Data Centre, Life Science, or high
demand technical facilities.
• Proven on-site experience, including supervision of installation, testing, commissioning,
and coordination with construction teams.
• Strong knowledge of national and international regulations: CTE, RITE, RIPCI, RSCIEI.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or BIM software is highly
desirable.
• Excellent communication skills and advanced level of English to interact with clients,
contractors, and international teams.
