Hobart Food Machines is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group. We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to build, validate, troubleshoot and design new parts and systems for commercial mixers and slicers, full-time, in our Troy, Ohio Technology Center. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be a part of the new product development team.
**Job Description**
+ Build, repair, test and modify commercial mixer and slicer prototypes at our development lab and local field test sites including complex mechanical and electrical assembly and troubleshooting.
+ Design and facilitate engineering validation tests, fixtures and methodologies to assess new commercial food equipment designs.
+ Champion ground-up design solutions for new product development.
+ Complete teardown, design assessment and report out of competitive equipment.
